New campaign urges paint maker to Get The Lead Out
 
UPDATE: 6/28/18 5 PM The Boycott worked! Sherwin Williams and Con Agra pulled their ballot measure from the November ballot. Congrats to all.
 
Paint maker Sherwin Williams has decided to go to the California ballot with a deceptive ballot initiative to erase its liability to the public for poisoning families with lead in its paint. We have decided to boycott Sherwin Williams paint stores.

The Tale Of Two Cities

Over near Porter Ranch, SoCal Gas’s catastrophic natural gas leak continually belches a noxious black cloud.  Besides emitting enough planet warming methane to fill the Empire State Building every day, it’s giving residents headaches, dizziness, nausea, and nosebleeds. They’re breathing methyl mercaptan that, at very high levels, can cause anemia and internal bleeding; benzene, a known carcinogen; and radon, a radioactive gas.

Rewriting California's Toxic History

Trying to rewrite history seems to be a habit for the state’s toxics regulators.
 
In November 2014, the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) briefly posted a document on its website that questioned if a partial nuclear meltdown happened at the Santa Susana Field Lab in 1959 despite overwhelming proof acknowledged by DTSC, the legislature, and the courts, that it did. The information was quickly removed.
